Early Thursday morning, a wrong way driver and a Woodford County Deputy were involved in a crash on Interstate 39.
Around 4:00 a.m., two deputies from the Woodford County Sheriff’s Office responded to calls of a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lane near mile post 36 on I-39.
One deputy was able to slow down traffic in the northbound lane and the other looked for the wrong way driver.
The driver was located near mile post 27, and slowed down before hitting the deputy’s vehicle head on.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene, and the drivers of the vehicles did not have any injuries.
Police are investigating the crash.
